Other Writing from Will Kenny

more examples of my ideas and opinions are available from the sources below

I regularly contribute to various blogs and online article directories, beyond the articles I post here and disseminate via The Training Tipsheet. My articles also appear in print from time to time, in various trade and business publications.

Recent Addition: My feature article leads off the magazine Credit Union BUSINESS for October, 2008. Titled "CU Success: Bank-Lite or CU-Heavy?", the article takes a look at the dangers of adding features and services just to meet the competition. Credit unions are a good "case study" of an industry where copying others without really thinking things through can actually reduce your competitive advantage, even as you add features and products for your "customers" (members, in the CU world). Just go to Credit Union BUSINESS and click on the October issue for a PDF version of the magazine.

(I also write or edit many articles for placement in various trade journals on behalf of various clients, to help them present their ideas more clearly and effectively to their audiences.)

Here are a few more places where you can read my ideas and opinions, with a hint about the types of topics I cover with each one (click on the image or use the text links to visit each site in a new window).

ebim

I provide an exclusive blog, "Let's Talk Training!", to e-BIM, which stands for "the electronic Business Intelligence Monitor." e-BIM is a "portal" focused on human resources issues, including training, talent management, recruiting and retention. My blog posts on training issues appear every Wednesday.

ezinearticles

EzineArticles is an online directory of short articles on a very, very wide range of topics. Many business subjects are included in their listings, and I've written on career change (teachers going into corporate training), establishing best business practices, hiring and working with outside help, effective employee communication, sales training, aspects of running a freelance business. Many articles found in blogs, trade associations web sites, and similar sources of specialized news draw their articles from this site.

freelance switch

Freelance Switch is a site for freelancers, both experienced and those just getting into (or thinking about getting into) working for themselves. It includes a blog, to which I contribute periodically, along with links and many other resources. Its audience includes anyone working freelance style, but probably most of their readers are working in web design, graphic design, software and technology, or business writing.
